Fall Home Selling Checklist
We can’t believe it either… Fall is here! What does this mean? Cooler temperatures, earlier sunsets, and pumpkin spice lattes. But what does this mean for those looking to sell their homes in the Fall? We’ve got you covered with your “Fall Home Selling Checklist.”
Make It Inviting
- Take down personal items
- Fix anything that is broken
- Check light bulbs so they match and replace as needed
- Open blinds and curtains, wash windows and let the light in
- Give every room a clear purpose
Show It’s Cared For
- Clean your vents and baseboards
- Replace your air filter(s)
- Vacuum and sweep the floors
- Declutter throughout (less is more)
- Organize countertops, cabinets, and closets (buyer will look inside)
- Touch up any scuff on the walls
Boost Curb Appeal
- Power wash outdoor surfaces
- Tidy up the landscaping (dark mulch and bright flowers go a long way)
- Freshen your entry (remember curb appeal vs. porch appeal)
- Sweep patios, decks, and walkways
It’s no secret that the housing market is changing. Buyer demand is cooling due to the continuous increase in mortgage interest rates. This is why it’s more important than ever to use this checklist as a minimum to prepare your home for sale AND to hire the right team that knows how to properly market your home to be seen by the most qualified buyers.
