1. Introduction

The Sackin-Stone Team is the brand name of Stone Real Estate, LLC (“Sackin-Stone,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a residential real estate team affiliated with Seven Gables Real Estate, serving buyers and sellers throughout Orange County, California. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we gather when you use sackinstoneteam.com (the “Website”), how we put that information to work, who may receive it, and the choices you have.

This policy covers the Website, our online tools and calculators, our email newsletter, and text or phone communications that begin with information you give us online. It does not govern websites, apps, or services run by other companies, even when we link to them.

By using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Website or submit your information.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

You may share personal information with us when you fill out a contact or inquiry form, request a home valuation or market analysis, subscribe to our newsletter, register for an event or open house, use one of our calculators and ask to receive results, schedule a consultation, or reach out to us by email, phone, or text. Depending on the form, this can include:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • The address of a property you own, want to sell, or are interested in buying
  • Your timeline, price range, preferred neighborhoods, and other home-search preferences
  • Details you enter into our calculators (such as estimated sale price, loan amount, or rent), if you choose to submit them
  • Any other information you include in a message to us

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Website, certain technical details are gathered automatically through cookies and similar technologies. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, general location (city or region level), and how you interact with our content.

Information from other sources

We may receive information about you from third parties, such as the Multiple Listing Service, real estate listing portals, lead-generation partners, social media platforms when you interact with our ads or pages, and people who refer you to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Provide real estate services, including helping you buy, sell, or evaluate a property
  • Prepare home valuations, market reports, and property recommendations
  • Send you our newsletter, market updates, and listing alerts you’ve signed up for
  • Contact you by email, phone, or text about your real estate goals (see Section 4)
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Website and our online tools
  • Understand how visitors use the Website and measure the performance of our advertising
  • Show you relevant ads on other platforms, such as Google and Meta
  • Protect the Website against fraud, spam, and security threats
  • Meet our legal, regulatory, and brokerage recordkeeping obligations

4. Phone, Text Message, and Email Communications

Communications with clients and website visitors

When you provide your phone number or email address through the Website and check the consent box on our forms, you agree that the Sackin-Stone Team may contact you at that number or address about real estate services. You confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the phone number and email address you provide.

Your consent is never a condition of buying or selling a property or using our services.

To stop receiving marketing emails, click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email. To stop phone calls, tell the agent on the call or contact us using the details in Section 13. If you receive a text message from us, reply STOP to opt out. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop communications related to an active transaction you are involved in.

SMS Privacy

Sackin-Stone Team may collect team members’ names, mobile phone numbers, consent records, and message interaction data to provide operational and transactional SMS notifications. These messages may include new-lead assignments, follow-up reminders, and transaction or listing-status updates. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Information may be provided to service providers only as necessary to operate and deliver the messaging program or as required by law.

Mobile opt-in data and consent records are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following situations:

  • Our brokerage. As a team operating under Seven Gables Real Estate, we share information with our brokerage as needed for supervision, compliance, and transaction management.
  • Service providers. We work with vendors who help us run our business, such as website hosting, customer relationship management (CRM) software, email and text messaging platforms, analytics, and advertising services. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Transaction partners, with your direction. When you are buying or selling a home, we may share necessary details with parties involved in your transaction, such as lenders, escrow and title companies, inspectors, appraisers, and other agents, when you ask us to or when it’s needed to complete the transaction.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. Tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) may collect information about your use of the Website through cookies and pixels. See Section 6.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is needed to protect our rights, the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
  • Business changes. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites remember your activity and preferences. We use:

  • Essential cookies that allow the Website to function and stay secure
  • Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) that help us understand traffic and improve the Website
  • Advertising cookies and pixels (such as Google Ads and the Meta Pixel) that help us measure our ads and show you relevant content on other websites and social media

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Website work. You can also learn about limiting ad personalization through Google’s Ad Settings and Meta’s Ad Preferences, or visit the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Our Website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

7. Property Listings and Third-Party Content

Listing information displayed on the Website may be provided through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) via an IDX feed or a third-party search provider. If you create an account, save searches, or request information on a listing through a third-party search tool, that provider may also collect your information under its own privacy policy.

The Website may also include embedded videos (such as YouTube), maps, reviews, and links to other websites. These third parties may collect data about your interaction with their content. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain our relationship with you, and meet legal requirements. California real estate licensees are required to retain certain transaction records for a set number of years, so some information connected to a transaction may be kept even after you ask us to delete it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

9. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including encrypted (SSL/HTTPS) connections on the Website and access limited to team members and providers who need it. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information such as Social Security numbers or bank account details through our website forms or by regular email.

10. Your California Privacy Rights

We are based in California, and we want every visitor to understand their choices.

Requests about your information

You may ask us to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal and recordkeeping exceptions
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time

To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will not treat you differently or deny you services for making a privacy request.

Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 allows California residents to ask whether a business has shared their personal information with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

This policy describes the categories of personal information we collect, the types of third parties we may share it with, how we respond to Do Not Track signals, and how you’ll be notified of changes, as required by California Business and Professions Code Sections 22575–22579.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we may provide additional notice on the Website. Continuing to use the Website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
